LESSON 2:

YOUR FIRST STEPS AS A TC DIRECT BUSINESS BUILDER

Welcome to Your New Business Journey

Congratulations on registering as a TC Direct Business Builder!

Registration is only the beginning. Your next step is to become familiar with the tools, products and support available to you and then start taking simple, consistent actions to build your business.

You do not need to know everything on your first day. You do not need to have a large customer base or be an expert salesperson.

Your goal in the beginning is simple:

Learn    Use  Share  Repeat

Take one step at a time and build your confidence as you go.

STEP 1: CHECK YOUR WELCOME SMS

After registering, you should receive an SMS on your phone containing a welcoming message and your consultant code.

Your consultant code is important, so keep it somewhere safe where you can easily find it when needed.

If you do not receive your welcome SMS or are unsure about your registration details, contact your upline or the appropriate TC Direct support channel for assistance.

Your first task:

☐ Check your SMS

☐ Find your consultant code

☐ Save your consultant code somewhere safe

STEP 2: DOWNLOAD THE TC CONNECT APP

Your next step is to download the TC Connect app from your app store.

The app is an important tool for your TC Direct journey. Take some time to become familiar with the different sections and features available to you.

Once you have installed the app:

1. Open the app.

2. Sign in using your consultant details.

3. Set up your password.

4. Create a strong and secure password.

5. Go to Profile.

6. Check and update your personal information.

7. Explore the different sections of the app.

Protect your account

Never share your password with other people.

Choose a password that is difficult for someone else to guess. Avoid using obvious information such as your name, birthday or phone number.

STEP 3: EXPLORE THE APP

Don't feel that you need to understand everything immediately.

Spend some time navigating through the app and discovering what is available.

Look for areas such as:

- Training and learning materials

- Product information

- Catalogues

- Price lists

- Ordering information

- Your business or consultant information

- Announcements and other resources

The more familiar you become with the app, the easier it will be to use it when helping customers or building your business.

Don't be afraid to ask questions

If you cannot find something, ask your upline.

Asking questions is part of learning. You are not expected to know everything when you are starting out.

STEP 4: LEARN ABOUT THE PRODUCTS

One of the most important things you can do as a new Business Builder is to learn about the products.

Download or access the latest TC product catalogues and price lists through the available TC Connect resources.

If you struggle to locate them, ask your upline to guide you.

Do not try to memorise the entire catalogue.

Instead, gradually learn:

- What products are available

- What each product is used for

- Who might benefit from the product

- How much the product costs

- How customers can order

- Important product features

- Which products interest you personally

Start with products you understand

You don't have to promote every product at once.

Choose a product that interests you and learn about it properly.

Where practical, get the product and experience it yourself.

When you have personally used a product and can honestly talk about your own experience, it can be easier to explain the product to someone else.

However, always describe your experience honestly and avoid making claims about a product that you cannot substantiate.

STEP 5: START WITH YOUR OWN PRODUCT EXPERIENCE

Your first product does not have to be the most expensive product or the most popular product.

Choose something that is relevant to you and that you are genuinely interested in.

For example:

Choose → Get → Use → Learn → Share

As you use the product, pay attention to your experience.

Ask yourself:

- What do I like about it?

- How do I use it?

- Who might find it useful?

- What questions might a customer ask?

- What information would someone need before buying it?

This helps you become more confident when talking about the product.

Remember:

People connect with genuine experiences more easily than with a memorised sales pitch.

STEP 6: TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS

Now it is time to let people know that you are in business.

Start with people you already interact with.

This may include:

- Friends

- Family members

- Neighbours

- Work colleagues

- Church or community members

- Social groups

- People you meet at other social gatherings

You don't need to approach everyone with the same message.

Start conversations naturally.

For example, if you are using a product that you genuinely like, you can tell someone about your experience and explain where they can find more information.

Your goal is not to pressure people.

Your goal is to create awareness and start conversations.

STEP 7: USE WHATSAPP AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Your phone can become one of your most useful business tools.

Use platforms such as WhatsApp Status and your other social media accounts to create awareness of your business and the products you offer.

You can share:

- Product information

- Product photos

- Catalogue information

- Your personal product experience

- Special offers or promotions, where applicable

- Educational content

- Answers to common customer questions

- Your business journey

Be consistent

Do not post once and then disappear for three weeks.

People may not respond to your first post. That does not necessarily mean they are not interested.

They may simply not have noticed it, may not need the product at that moment, or may need to see your business several times before starting a conversation.

That is why consistency matters.

Don't assume that people know about your business. Tell them.»

STEP 8: LEARN HOW TO HANDLE CUSTOMER QUESTIONS

As people become aware of your business, they may ask questions.

You may be asked:

- What does this product do?

- How much does it cost?

- How do I order?

- How do I pay?

- How long does delivery take?

- Which product would be suitable for me?

- Where can I see the catalogue?

You don't need to know every answer immediately.

If you don't know something, don't guess.

Tell the customer that you will confirm the information and then get the correct answer from the appropriate TC Direct resource or your upline.

Being honest and accurate helps you build trust.

STEP 9: LEARN THE BUSINESS PROCESS

As you become more comfortable with the products, learn how the business works from beginning to end.

Make sure you understand the current procedures for:

- Placing orders

- Making payments

- Receiving products

- Customer purchases

- Returns or other applicable procedures

- Your consultant responsibilities

- Your earnings and applicable requirements

- Building your customer base

- Referring or introducing new Business Builders

Your upline can help you understand the practical steps.

Always use the latest official TC Direct information when explaining prices, earnings, requirements, promotions or business policies.

STEP 10: SET SIMPLE GOALS

Don't make your first goal:

"I want to become successful immediately."

That is too vague.

Instead, set small actions that you can control.

For example, your first-week goals could be:

☐ Download and set up the TC Connect app

☐ Update your profile

☐ Explore the training section

☐ Download the latest catalogue and price list

☐ Learn about 3–5 products

☐ Choose a product that interests you

☐ Tell people about your business

☐ Post on your WhatsApp Status consistently

☐ Speak to potential customers

☐ Ask your upline at least one question

Small actions repeated consistently can become significant results over time.

STEP 11: KEEP LEARNING

Your registration does not mean that your learning is finished.

In fact, it is only the beginning.

Use the available training and support to improve your knowledge of:

- Products

- Customer service

- Communication

- Social media marketing

- Selling

- Personal development

- Business building

- The TC Direct business model

Don't compare your beginning with someone else's journey.

Someone who has been building their business for years will naturally know more than someone who registered yesterday.

Your job is to keep learning and keep improving.

STEP 12: BUILD A SIMPLE DAILY ROUTINE

You don't need to spend the entire day building your business.

What matters is creating a routine that you can maintain.

For example:

Learn

Spend some time learning about the products or business.

Connect

Speak to people and build relationships.

Share

Post useful product or business information on your social media.

Follow up

Respond to people who showed interest previously.

Review

Look at what you accomplished and decide what you will do next.

You can think of it as:

Learn → Connect → Share → Follow Up → Repeat

DON'T WAIT TO BE PERFECT

One of the biggest mistakes a new Business Builder can make is waiting until they feel completely ready.

You might think:

"I don't know enough yet."

"My social media isn't perfect."

"I don't have enough customers."

"I need better equipment."

"I'll start next month."

There will always be something you could improve.

You don't need to be perfect before you start.

Start with what you have. Learn as you go. Improve as you grow.»

You don't need a perfect time.

The right time is now.

CONSISTENCY IS YOUR ADVANTAGE

Building a business is not about doing everything in one day.

It is about taking meaningful action repeatedly.

One conversation today.

One product learned today.

One WhatsApp Status today.

One customer follow-up today.

One new lesson today.

Then do it again tomorrow.

Your results may not appear immediately, but consistent activity gives you more opportunities to learn, connect with people and grow.

YOUR ACTION PLAN

Before moving to the next lesson, make sure you have completed these actions:
